NICO General Insurance on Wednesday donated kits to Blantyre Sports Club (BSC) Darts Team valued at MK500,000 alter being approached.
The BSC darts team has won the league back-to-back for several years. The league comprises 14 teams which are split into two divisions.
Captain of the team, Charles Katola, described the donation as timely, saying as they will use it during their sporting activities.
Katola said the team will ensure that they defend the title as they have been doing in the recent past to match with what he called the winning formula of NICO General Insurance.
“We will not disappoint NICO General Insurance because we also believe in victory. Last year, we were unbeaten in the league and with the kit, we will put an extra gear to continue being the best,” he said.
In his remarks, NICO General insurance assistant general manager Donbell Mandala challenged the team to ensure that they continue delivering results.
“The reason we donated to BSC Darts Team is that it is a performer just like we are at NICO General Insurance,” said Mandala.
NICO General Insurance is a subsidiary of NICO Holdings Limited.
