NICO General Insurance, in partnership with Minet Malawi Insurance Brokers, has launched Safari Plan Insurance, a specialised insurance solution designed to meet the unique needs of Malawi’s tourism and hospitality industry.

The product is tailored for hotels, lodges, guest houses, conference centres, tour operators and other tourism-related businesses, providing flexible cover based on each business’s operational requirements. Speaking during the launch, Minet Malawi Managing Director Delvin Khongono said the product was developed after identifying gaps in conventional insurance solutions, which often fail to adequately address the unique risks faced by businesses in the tourism and hospitality sector.

“The products currently available are often too generic and do not fully cater for the specific needs of tourism and hospitality businesses. Safari Plan Insurance has been designed to provide targeted protection while helping businesses recover quickly and continue operating when unexpected events occur,” said Khongono.
